The Bogeyman is out there …

Did you know that according to recent studies, almost 55% of all computers connected
to internet with some kind of broadband access, are completely without security.

Now look at this numbers and stop to think,

" Approx 85% of all broadband connected computers lack
protection in one way or another

" More then 15% of all computers have some kind of trojan,
backdoor or similar completely installed, ready to go, or at
least a backdoor partially installed.

" Probably less then 50% of all computers have some kind of
antivirus software installed.

" And most of them have virus definition files so old, that are
of little or no use.

" Less then 25% of all pc users with windows upgrade their
operating system with security patches, new drivers and
suggested upgrades.

Let me ask you a question. Are you one of the pc users
included in the text above?

The answer will probably be yes as most of us are.

Are you a user "who cares" or a "I won't let it happened"?

Many computers users just shrug and say, who cares. I have nothing of
interest and my spouse, son or neighbor will reinstall my computer if some
ugly virus infects it.

Little do they know!

There are still dangers lurking in the dark.

" A backdoor was planted in your computer. By using this
backdoor, the intruder got access to documents, pictures,
codes to locks, account numbers, passwords to your bank or
other online services.

" A backdoor was planted and the intruder used your email to
send spam, threats, pornographic emails or even worse,
pretending to be you for an extended period of time, luring
others into believing that they are talking or mailing to you.

" By using the same backdoor the intruder can, plant pictures (
child pornography or other pictures that are illegal).

" The intruder can also launch attacks on other computers from
yours, Sending emails with virus, hacking into NSA, CIA, FBI
or other fun places, from your computer.

This list can be almost endless. Before you shut down your computer,
instead on reading on let me calm you down some.

This type of events are very rare, but they still are possible.

So take action to protect your computer, your family and your life.
Before the bogey man steals it.
